Regattas. Racing. Real fun.
Racing is a great way to learn about sailing, meet fellow sailors, and build confidence in boating skills. The Lake Pontchartrain Women’s Sailing Association helps place members as crew on boats participating in local regattas. LPWSA also encourages women to take the helm of their own boats in competition. In addition, LPWSA members serve on race committee to encourage women to join the fun of racing. LPWSA members support and sail in multiple events including:

GYA Women’s PHRF Trilogy Championship
Pam Sintes Memorial Regatta
Pink Ribbon Regatta
Sugar Bowl Regatta
LPWSA also assists skippers needing crew for Wednesday Twilight Races and participates in Friday Night Scot Races hosted by Southern Yacht Club, both happening from March through October.
