Building Confidence in Sailing

The Lake Pontchartrain Women’s Sailing Association hosts opportunities to get involved in sailing that serve members of the club as well as the community. It is the goal of LPWSA to build individual confidence and knowledge in sailing.

LPWSA educational workshops are designed for all levels of sailing experience and are lead by experts in the field including members of US Sailing, and US Coast Guard.

AdventureSail

LPWSA is the first sailing club in the Gulf Coast to offer AdventureSail®, a sailing-based educational outreach program for at-risk girls between the ages of 9 to 14.

Knot Tea Party

Knot-tying is a key skill in sailing. This event offers members the opportunity to learn what different sailing knots should look with the guidance from seasoned sailors.

L.A.S.T

L.A.S.T. (Learn About Sailing Things) is an informal sailing study program. No membership is required to attend. L.A.S.T events are free and open to the public.
